Ed. Note:  Event though they were exhausted from organizing and attending the Ohio Awareness Event, Merideth & Carrie agreed to send in a paragraph to let everyone know how it went.

The Ohio Chiari Awareness Event that was held September 29, 2007 by Merideth Rought & Carrie Marenberg was a huge success. The speakers included: Dr. James Bryant; Chief of the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps at the Ohio department of Health, Dr. Francesco Mangano; Pediatric Neurosurgeon, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Ray D'Alonzo, Associate Director of Research and Development at Proctor and Gamble Pharmaceuticals and author of the book Contents Under Pressure and Dr. John Tew Jr.; Specialist in neurosurgery for brain tumors, intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, facial pain and Chiari 1 Malformations at the Mayfield Clinic in Cincinnati. We had people as from Eastern Pennsylvania, Eastern Illinois, Southern Kentucky, Indiana and of course Ohio. We were pleased with the turn out and very pleased to meet so many wonderful people. We want to thank everyone who helped us with this event, whether posting our event, sending your stories, donations and most importantly for attending.

Thank you,
Merideth Rought & Carrie Marenberg
